A weekend for food lovers

- Wazemmes market, the liveliest in the city
- Saturday lunch
- Carbonnade or welsh in a Vieux-Lille estaminet

- A waffle at Meert, then a wander down rue de Gand
- Saturday evening
- Somewhere more modern, like Le Barbier qui fume

- Brussels, 35 minutes by train, to compare the beer and the chocolate
